The Korean-American Accounting Professors Association (KAAPA) is a non-profit organization that provides a platform for communication and networking among Korean accounting professors and doctoral students in North America, Asia, Europe, etc.
Founded in 1988, the KAAPA aims to facilitate cooperation and participation in high-quality academic research among members and to link with other academic and professional organizations that share similar scholastic interests. The KAAPA has more than 200 active members around the world.
To achieve its objectives, the KAAPA undertakes (or plans) the following activities.
· Annual meeting · Newsletters and KAAPA website · Academic conferences, seminars, and symposia · Scholarship support · Online job market · Junior faculty and PhD student mentoring · Professional development and education for Korean-American CPAs
