Dear KAAPA members,

I am pleased to announce that Kwangjin Lee, a Ph.D. candidate at Michigan State University, has been selected as the recipient of 2018 KAAPA conference grant. He expects to defend his dissertation during the summer and will begin to teach at Pepperdine University this coming fall. He will present his coauthored paper titled “Disclosure Policy when an Analyst is on the Board of Directors: Evidence from Management and Analyst Earnings Forecasts” at the 2018 AAA annual meeting. He will be awarded $500 of conference grant at the KAAPA-KAA dinner scheduled on August 7 (Tuesday).

I thank the grant committee members so much for reviewing and evaluating applications. I also would like to ask KAAPA members to encourage more Ph.D. students to apply for the conference grant in 2019.
